1. SALES AND PROJECT INFORMATION

The Recipe for Change Carbon offset project is a community-focused project fighting climate change and tackling the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Recipe for Change Wonderbags are subsidised using Carbon Credits to ensure we get Wonderbags to vulnerable people who need it the most, at a price point they can afford.

To register and pay for a subsidised Wonderbag, please note the following:

  • Recipe for Change  Wonderbags are subsidised using Carbon Credits to ensure we get Wonderbags to vulnerable people who need it the most, at a price point they can afford.
  • By continuing, you agree to be included in the South African Recipe for Change project registered with VERRA.
  • You agree that you are eligible* for these subsidised Wonderbags, which will be monitored over fourteen (14) years.
  • You agree that you would otherwise be unable to afford a Wonderbag at its full retail price of R500.
  • You agree that your registered Wonderbag, under no circumstances, will be sold or given away.
  • The information you are registering must be 100% correct. Your Wonderbag and its unique code will be matched to the shared data.
  • You agree to participate in surveys conducted by us, or by third parties, relating to this Carbon Offset Project
  • Legal action will follow if you breach any of the rules stipulated here.

*Eligibility = Persons affected by energy shortages, Persons living in vulnerable communities, Persons struggling financially and impacted by climate change.

The Recipe for Change subsidised Wonderbag’s cost R90.00 for one Wonderbag.

Wonderbag purchases are limited to two (2) per ID/Passport Number.

If you are registering on our platform, you agree that you are the owner and user of the Wonderbag.

Each Wonderbag has a unique serial number that will be linked to the registered User’s ID. We ask that Project participants register accurate information. Only registered users can collect their Wonderbag.

This process is essential for accurate, independent surveys to verify carbon savings and for Wonderbag to qualify for carbon credits. Information that is not true or accurate, compromises the project.

The effective functioning of our Platform and community projects requires your cooperation. If you have any questions, please get in touch with our WonderCare Team.

Unfortunately, you cannot choose your Wonderbag colour and design. In addition, Wonderbags cannot be exchanged for an alternative colour or design.



2. PLACING AN ORDER

  1. Click the MyWonderbag store Link www.mywonderbag.co.za.
  2. Read the Project Terms on the landing page and if you want to proceed, click “I WANT TO SIGN UP”
  3. You will then be directed to the Registration page where you will be asked to fill in your details. Upon completion, click “CONTINUE”.
  4. You will then be taken to the Wonderbag Cart and Delivery page. You will be asked to select your preferred Pargo pick-up point. Upon selection, click “CONTINUE”.
  5. You will then be directed to a confirmation page, where you will be asked to confirm that all your details – personal details and delivery details – are correct. You can edit your details by clicking “update personal details” and/or “change delivery details”. If you are happy that all your details are correct, click “CONFIRM DETAILS”.
  6. You will then be taken to the Payment page where you can select your preferred payment method: Debit/Credit Card, Instant EFT, or Cash/Bank Deposit. Click “COMPLETE ORDER” to proceed.
  7. Once the order has been processed you will receive an Order Reference Number.

To register and buy your Wonderbags, you will be asked to provide the following details:

  1. Full Name
  2. ID/Passport Number
  3. Physical Address
  4. Contact Details
  5. Home Language
  6. Your usual cooking fuel
  7. How many hours you spend cooking a day

By agreeing to participate, we are assuming you are eligible for a subsidised Wonderbag, that is, Persons affected by energy shortages, Persons living in vulnerable communities, Persons struggling financially and impacted by climate change.

The reason we are able to sell Wonderbags at a subsidised price is because of the carbon credits we receive. To receive carbon credits, Independent auditors contact a sample of Wonderbag users to understand their use of the Wonderbag and how much carbon dioxide is taken out of the atmosphere. The information we receive from you, as per the form that you will be asked to complete, is shared with our carbon consultants, as well as independent auditing companies, who may use it only to verify that the information regarding the reduction in carbon dioxide is correct. We are then issued credits based on the results.

It’s vital that our data is accurate (bags are linked to a customer’s ID) because without carbon credits, we won’t be able to sell Wonderbags at a subsidised rate and reach more people who need the Wonderbag, especially those who cannot afford it at its full retail price. The Wonderbags fulfil a social, economic and environmental purpose.

This information we receive from you is kept for fourteen (14) years, which is the standard duration of the carbon project. After that period, it is destroyed or made anonymous, so that it is no longer linked to you specifically.

Your information will be kept private and safe, in line with government, POPIA, regulations. Please find our privacy policy here.

If you agree, we may also send you marketing information from time to time, but you can choose not to receive this or, if you have agreed, you can contact us at any time to ask us to stop sending you marketing materials.

You have the right, at any time, to ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you and with who we have shared it. You may also ask us to correct or update any incorrect information or ask us to stop using your information. If you ask us to stop before the 14-year period is over, we may need to keep some of the information (but we will make this as little as possible) until the end of the carbon project. We will in such cases do our best to make the information anonymous. We will request you stop using the Wonderbag and you will no longer form part of the project.

The Recipe for Change subsidised Wonderbags can only be purchased through our dedicated store site www.mywonderbag.co.za.

For customers who would prefer not to share their personal details, please order via our website www.wonderbagworld.com or from one of our retail partners.

We are in the process of exploring further distribution methods. Please keep an eye out on all our channels.

3. PAYMENT

We offer a few safe and easy ways to pay for your Wonderbags.

You will be asked to make payment using one of the following methods:

  • Credit Card/Debit Card– immediate payments are securely processed.
  • Instant EFT – immediate payments are securely processed.
  • Bank Deposit – You can make payments directly into our bank account:

Your order will be dispatched within 48-72hrs after your payment has cleared. (Please note that Bank Transfer payments could take up to 7 days to clear).

You will receive your order confirmation SMS and email once we have received payment. If you have not received an order confirmation but your payment has been processed, please get in touch with our WonderCare Team on 031 536 8220 or email wondercare@wonderbagworld.com.

Yes it 100% Secure.

If you have chosen to pay for your order by Bank Deposit, we will reserve your Wonderbag for 7 days from the date of order/purchase to allow for funds to clear. In the unlikely event that we do not receive payment within this time, your order will be cancelled.

  • Please use your order number as your reference number.
  • Please email your proof of payment to npc.accounts@wonderbagworld.com or WhatsApp your proof of payment to (+27) 060 628 9487
  • Once payment is received, your order will be processed in our warehouse within 48-72hrs and then collected by the Pargo courier.
  • Pargo will communicate directly with you regarding your delivery through Email and/or SMS.

The bank details are made available to you once you are registered on the www.mywonderbag.co.za platform, and have selected to pay using the Bank Deposit option.



4. SHIPPING, DELIVERY AND COLLECTIONS

Pargo is a logistics company helping us deliver your Wonderbag parcel to a pick-up point near you.

Pargo pick-up points are located at convenient retail stores across South Africa. You will be prompted to select your preferred pick-up point on the ‘Delivery’ page. To collect your Wonderbag parcels you will need to present your physical/digital ID or Passport and the unique code sent to you.

Delivery is FREE for all Wonderbag purchases.

If you have not collected your parcel within eight (8) days of it arriving at your selected Pargo pick-up point, it will be returned to our Wonderbag offices. You will be charged R140 for any additional delivery, inclusive of the product recall.

Pargo will send you a SMS and/or email notification as soon as your parcel has been delivered to your chosen Pargo pick-up point and is ready for collection.

Once your payment has cleared, your order will first be processed in our warehouse within 48-72hrs and then collected by the Pargo courier. Delivery can take up to three (3) business days from the day Pargo collects your parcel from our warehouse. Allow an extra two (2) business days for deliveries outside of main centres. Please note, during sales events, there may be slight delays and you will be notified accordingly.

Unfortunately not. The pick-up location chosen cannot be changed after you’ve finalised your order and paid. Please note, you are given two points to choose/change your location: 1. When you make the initial selection, and 2. You are given a chance to check/change your order details and delivery location before payment.

You will be charged R140 for any additional delivery, inclusive of the product recall.

You can track your order using your Pargo Waybill (Tracking) number on https://pargo.co.za/track-trace/. Your Waybill number begins with PAR*** and you would receive it via SMS/Email from Pargo.

All you need is your ID and the Pargo Code for that parcel. You will receive a unique Pargo Code in the SMS and/or email that informs you that your parcel is ready for collection.

You cannot collect orders without your ID/Passport and Pargo Code. These must be the details that match your registration details.

This is a unique and random security code that you receive by SMS and/or email when the parcel arrives at your preferred Pargo pick-up point. You will need this code to collect the parcel. Without it, you will not be able to collect.

The Pargo Code can be found in the SMS and/or email notification that informs you that your parcel is ready for collection.

Unfortunately, not. The Wonderbag parcel can only be collected by the registered individual, using their ID/Passport and Pargo code.

For exceptional circumstances*, please contact our WonderCare team who will do their best to assist you. They are available between 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. Email - wondercare@wonderbagworld.com or Whatsapp us on (+27) 060 628 9487.

*Exceptions – If the person is too elderly, disabled or ill and cannot collect within the 8 day period, we will consider the application. In these cases, the following must be noted:

  • The registered individuals ORIGINAL ID/Passport must be taken to collect the parcel, together with your own ID/Passport.
  • The Pargo collection point must be close to the home of the Registered individual.
  • You must have the unique Pargo code.

Pargo holds the parcel for 14 days from the moment you receive your SMS/email notification. If you have not collected your parcel within 14 days, it will be returned to our Wonderbag offices.
You will be charged R140 for any additional delivery.



5. RETURN AND REFUNDS

If a product is damaged or broken when you receive it, you must inform us within one (1) working day of receiving it. Email our WonderCare team on wondercare@wonderbagworld.com with your order number, details, and a picture of the damaged Wonderbag that you have received.

We will then make arrangements for a replacement product to be sent to you on our account or to refund you in full for the damaged or broken product.

All Recipe for Change carbon-offset project Wonderbags come with a warranty of ten (10) years. If your Wonderbag is defective, or it has been damaged due to normal wear and tear, we will repair or replace it for you at no charge. If we establish that your Wonderbag has been damaged due to misuse (used other than for its intended purpose and in line with our guidelines and recommendations), you will be liable for the postage or delivery fees, and we may charge you a reasonable repair or replacement fee.

We do not accept any exchanges.

Please ensure you have the following:

  • Order reference number
  • Contact details for the registered individual.
  • ID/Passport number related to the order.
  • Photograph with explanation

Our WonderCare team will be in touch to resolve your issue. If your return is approved a replacement or refund will be done within 7 days of approval.



6. PRODUCT INFORMATION

The Wonderbag is revolutionary slow cooker that requires no electricity. It uses heat- retention technology to continue cooking food once your pot has been removed from the heat source.

To cook, simply bring the food to the boil, let it simmer, and then put the short-handled pot with lid into the Wonderbag.

After placing it in a Wonderbag, the food will continue cooking for up to eight hours without any additional energy source.

No battery, plug or fuel required - just simple heat retention technology!

  • Large: This size will fit a short-handled pot sized between 1.5 - 10 Litres.
  • In use Dimensions: 47cmx47cmx22cm.
  • All Wonderbags should only be used with pots with short handles to allow for sufficient insulation.

  • Copper, steel, aluminum, enameled cast iron, cast iron and glassware pots.
  • Do not use clay or ceramic.
  • Make sure to use a tight fitting lid.
